Default rich fuel

Yesterday my check engine light came on. I plugged in my tuner and it said that my gas was too rich. I flashed my car back to stock and the error went away and hasn't come back. I added fuel injector cleaner the other day and besides maybe buying cheap/ low quality gas I can't figure out what could have caused my gas to become rich. I'm going to wait until I run through another tank before I try and re-tune my car. Does anyone know what could have caused the problem? Thanks.

Maybe but I've had the bama tunes for about two months now with no problems.

You could ask for an updated tune, let them know the problem. Their customer service seems pretty top notch. And I don't think plugged injectors would cause a rich condition, rather the lack of fuel would cause it to go lean. Plus your car is brand new, unless you were running a pure mud additive to your gas, the injectors should be sparkly clean still. I'm pretty sure its the tune, and too rich is better than too lean.

Thanks. I'll give them a call if it comes back again. But I'm going to wait until I refill my tank to see if it was just bad gas.

If a car is running too rich, what would the exhaust fumes smell like? Did you notice??
