2011 GT mpg question
#11
2011 GT m6 with 3.31 rear gears.
Ceramic coated Stainless Works Long tube headers, hi flow cats, x-pipe and chambered mufflers.
Steeda CAI and aggressive tune to make it all run nice.
At 60 i get 26 to 29 mpg.
In October took it on a 550 mile road trip down I-95, doing an honest 70 mph I averaged 26.7 miles to the gallon.
The Ford numbers are for the 3.31 manual or the 3.15 automatic, I don't remember which one.
During the warmer weather I average 23 and in the cold 20.

For a 412 HP car with nearly as much torque..and as big as it is.. 19-20 mpg should be your "real life" mpg goal. If you need an extra few miles out of the gas tank.. get to 6th as fast as you can and cruise at 60-65.

I'm less than 1000 miles and get average 17.6 mpg. and this is highest i have really seen with the exception of setting on the highway but it slowly declines of coures and all i drive is highway 99% of the time.

I get about 18mpg all around. But, I have a lead foot. If I take it easy on the highway and maintain 75mph, I get about 22mpg. I have 3.73 gears. Those that get 24mpg or better with 3.73's on the highway must be going downhill 100% of the time.

with the automatic and 3.15s i was seeing 26-28mpg on the highway, and about 20 in town. once i went to 4.10s I now get 21mpg high and 15 in town. under normal driving... if i get into the throttle heavily, then im at 10mpg.
although, i think i only had the factory tune on my car for about 500 miles. so it's possible i was getting better mileage off the tune. although I think that is unlikely.

i got the tune about 4 months before the gears. the drop in MPG is from the gears. although i did put on the boss intake manifold and a different tune on it, i don't think that is the problem. I noticed a similar change in mpg when i did 4.10s in my 2007, although i gained in town mpg with those.

I have 3.73 and my computer shows average about 19.5 MPG for me, however on the highway I know I average about 26 - 27 MPG as I fugured it myself at the pump. But we're flatlanders around here so the highway is long level and straight.
I'm thinking that average computer MPG is based on the previous 500 miles....I could be wrong.

the computer mpg is based on current fuel usage and distance travelled, you can reset it while you are driving, for example, soon after buying the car i sped up to 80, reset it and let off the gas, for awhile it said i was getting 99.9 miles per gallon
