Default muffler swaps and tunes?

just curious, a buddy of mine has an 11 or 12 gt. has CAI and a bama tune. a few months after the tune he replaced his stock mufflers with magnaflow. ( just the mufflers) would he gain anything by asking bama to send him an updated tune taking into consideration of the magnaflows? or would there really not be any changes to be made in the tune. just curious since its indeed a "mail order tune" and not something he can put it on a dyno

I had my mufflers replaced with the SLP Loudmouth and I had my tune updated. Of course I did my CAI and replacement of the mufflers at the same time so I only had to get one tune. It wouldn't hurt to do it, he should get "free tunes for life"

Changing anything after the cats doesnt require the changing of a tune

Most likely, a quick call to the company that provided the tune would give you professional answers......

No, if it's just a catback system, he shouldn't need too.

Only time I might consider updating is if I went from a straight flow through design like a SLP to a chambered muffler setup or vice versa.

Still wouldn't make any difference. No updating needed.
