Default Serpentine Belt Installation

So I've installed a serpentine belt into my car. It's a 2003 Mustang GT, and I did my best to go by the documentation provided in my Hayne's manual. Right from the get go the tutorial was wrong and seemed to be based on a different car (asking for the wrong sized tools, like a 1/2 breaker bar, but a 3/8 was required) and then it showed me a diagram for the serpentine belt installation that I could not possibly match. The belt I bought was just not long enough to match the layout that the book provided me. Can somebody take a picture of their serpentine belt installation so I can make sure mine is in there right? I took the car out and romped on it a bit and it's running just fine, but I'd really prefer to be by the books.

At any rate, we saw some black marks on the engine block that suggested I had, in the end installed the belt correctly, but I'm looking for confirmation here.

BTW: I did the job in the dark and having faith in my Hayne's manual and can do attitude, I just ripped the stock belt off without taking note about the layout.

Get the old belt and make sure the old and new are the same length. I'll try to get a picture...

They are, I checked. I tried reinstalling the old belt with the same way and it was to no avail. There's just no getting it in there the way that the book said, and there was no diagram under the hood, in case anybody asked.

Do your pulleys look the same as in the picture?

The one I attached? That is how I lined things up myself. I want to know if that's correct.

I thought you said you couldn't get the belt lined up?

The pic you have attached is the way the belt goes on. My chiltons had the wrong diagram listed too. I'm pretty sure the one they have listed is for the 99-mid01 pulley system.

The pic attached is the way I installed the serpentine belt, the pic in my maintenance manual was incorrect then. We tried, me and the guy I live with, to get the belt to fit the way the book suggested, and there just was no way doing. I figured out the way it's installed now sort of dicking around with it, but I guess I managed to get it on the only way it would go on.

From the 2003 shop manual (I have seen many sources referencing 1 /2" breaker bar, as you have found it's 3/8") ...[/align]
