just lowered my 06GT - Alignment issue
You did say you put in Sport... You don't need to get it realigned. I have over 10k with no abnormal tire wear and never got it aligned.
But like you I was concerned for the alignment and called a couple places. They said I didn't need to bring them any bolts that if it needed it they had them and wouldn't charge me for them. That was 3 different places.
So, if you do decided to take it someplace call and ask them first, maybe you'll save $40...

hmm
Boozshey
You are aware that the Eibach sport kit springs lower our cars an inch lower than their pro kit springs? (very nice car in your sig by the way!)
Yeshe need an alignment. I too run staggered tire wheel combo. 255/35/20 (F)vs 285/30/20 (R)those front are NOT cheap! The camber bolts ARE!

your first post said you got the sport (sportline) kit.
get the camber bolts:

(looks like the partsbin.com is out of stock for the mustang right now)
and take them to the alignment shop.

I'll call around and see how much some local shops will charge. Just by eyeing my front tires I can tell they are off a bit. Hopefully these new bolts won't cost too much.
How much do you guys typically pay for an alignment?
I put on my pro-kit last week... yeah there's some negative camber, but i can't see the effects of that wearing down my car's tires any faster than I would by going to the local track or anything.
it's a daily driver too.
don't get me wrong though - i'm in no rush, but I have everything necessary to bring it back into spec. It'll be one of those things that I'll wait for the perfect time to do it - like when i go to get tires mounted on my 18X9s i have sitting around or something

Bolts = bad if you dont get the large ones. I got some from Brenspeed and they are crap because there tiny. I upgraded to the steeda plate set.
So how many of you guys who are so adamant about needing an alignment have actually worn out a set of tires due to too much negative camber? How many miles did it take? What kind of driving were you doing?
Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the Ford spec calls for some negative camber, like up to -1 degree or so.
Personally I run -2 degrees every day. The reason? Handling! So many people complain about how the car understeers, guess what - this will help eliminate it.
Will excessive camber wear tires quicker? Probably - but the question is what is your tolerance. Like all things in suspension there are tradeoffs. Some folks want to get 20K+ out of a set of tires. Fine you trade front end grip for it, if thats what you want then its cool. Other folks would rather have the grip at the expense of tires. Thus far on my car I haven't seen excessive wear on the inside. In fact, my wear is on the outside and its due to extremely aggressive driving (track days, AutoX).

most of these guys are trying to make there tires last because they are there DD, they will never see a track day . So yea they will trade there tires not wearing on the inside for taking a 90 degree corner at 100mph. I put sportlines on mine and put about 5000 miles on it before I had it aligned, I did notice a little wear, but then again it was sportlines so it was a radical drop.
I used the camber bolts and used an angle finder to get it close then drove to the alignment shop. I used 1.25 degree of camber in the front and notice hardly any tire wear. Also make sure the sway bar bolts end links are tight. I have changed mine twice from coming loose and it makes an awful clunking noise.
