just lowered my 06GT - Alignment issue

RE: just lowered my 06GT - Alignment issue
If the bolts work fine and don't really have that big of a problem with "walking", what would be the reason to pay $200ish for plates when the bolts are $30ish? If I can get all the necessary parts to lower my car and have it not screwing things up, it may go higher up on my list. Just $200 for plates is blah.

Ya its all about what you feel is appropriate for your expenses. For me 200 for plates was an easy buy since I drive her hard and I want her to last, I have Steeda springs and it lowered my rear 1.5 and my front 1.2 and the rear was adjusted via pan hard bar and the front got the plates. Besides the plates look cool which adds to my smile factor.

Where ever you get the car aligned at, tell them you want to bring it back in a month after you get it alligned to have it checked again. The springs will settle a little bit in the first week or so and after a month should be done.
If the shop can't get your tires to -1 degree in the front then go buy the camber bolts and have them put it on when they re-check it. Most shops who do quality alignements will et you come in and have the alignement checked for free for 6 months or so after they align your car. Just talk with them and work something out.
And yes you should check into an adjustable panhard bar.

If you drop your car with no camber bolts, you need an alignment. That's that.
It will take about 10K miles to ruin the tires but it will happen.
I also agree with the guys that didn't align because of better handling.
No doubts, all race cars are set up that way because of cornering.
You gain here, but you compromise there... Nature of the beast.

Your toe has changed and an alignment is critical.
Also you will start noticing bump steer is also happening.
It wil seem to wander all over the road without the proper
toe and the addition of the bump steer will drive you crazy.
Not to mention the improper camber will wear the front tires
unevenly. Caster usually never changes with the amount of
drop you have.
