Well it looks the popular vote wins, I'll get some 4.10's. The pulleys are the piggyback, but s/c is in the distance future. Right now I want to get all I can with out s/c the car. What do you guys think about the Trickflow or Professional Products Intake maniflods. Would one of them be worth getting?

Not every car needs 4:10'S. If he gets to around 440-450 he might run out of gear in fourth before the traps. Depends what his end goal is. No need to do it twice for 1-2 tenths now.

Typhon is the worst out there. Tfs is a great intake and a nice step above the bullitt. But I doubt you'll see a huge difference na. I prefer the TFS intake with the oval tb upper.

The main reason I was considering 3.73's was because I can get them for cheap. I haven't really looked into the prices for 4.10's from a vendor, what would a set of 4.10's run me? Right now on the 1/8 mile track, I am shifting to forth as I hit the traps. I have 3.27's in my car now, I plan on in the far future getting close to 600rwhp.

just curious, you all changed your gears.. did you change your axels as well? and if you have around 450 hp 3.73's arent big enough to make it down the 1/4 mile in 4th?

sounds like a fun summer, 4.10s, and MGW FTW (it rhymes)

if you have money to buy a blower for your weekend toy... I think you can afford 150 down the road for a different set of gears, but then again I may be wrong

blaaaa

Whatever..

I had 4.10s and actually swapped to 3.73s..

Anyone who says don't fear the gear bla bla bla is stupid. If you drive the car at higher speeds alot you might consider 3.73s.

A lower gear is not always faster.. if this was the case we'd all run 6.12's or something. The difference in how quick your car is with 3.73s and 4.10s is not much..

THIS is what you should consider on a daily driver

Consider how many RPMS you can deal with in 5th gear. A car with a T3650 will turn 3000rpms at 90mph with 4.10s. A car with a early T3650 or T45 will turn roughly the same with 3.73s..

When I first put 4.10s in my car I went to the track and ran a slower time than I did with 3.27's. Gears will only be of benefit if you can hook it HARD off the line..
