wow. you did get a hell of a deal willy.. msrp on those are over 41k w/o any options.. i only spent 25k on my car brand new.. and chargers are msrp at 32k.. I didn't say with similiar mods.. i said similiar money invested in the car.. so 9k worth of mods an R/T would be really fast compared to an srt-8 which would still be stock at 41k.
i have a total of about 1500 spent in performance mods.. putting me at total expense of 26.5k i think my 13.5@102 DA adjusted to 12.8@108 is pretty good for how little i spent on a brand new car..
actually with your few mods your time is excellent for your car, id be happy with that time if i were you.. i just wouldn't be happy with how much i spent on the car
maybe if i had 50,000 sitting in my bank account I wouldn't worry about the extra cost of the srt8 or the gt500.. but i think i would.. i think i would think.. hey i could either buy this car and throw a few mods on it or i could really do up an r/t or a gt nice..
In my theory it isn't a whippled GT vs a whippled GT500.. it would be an extra 20k+ to spend on the GT.. so that is a built engine with a mammoth Kenne Belle and other mods putting out 700-800rwhp and being lighter than the GT500 and putting out more power than the whippled gt500
my general theory when it comes to cars is lighter is better (as long as you don't have to sacrafice too much power) vettes are nice.. light cars with v8s.. maybe someday if i have the money i will buy a vette. preferabbly a z06

and by then ill be an old man so i'll fit in with the other vette drivers
