How often do you change/clean your CAI filter?

How often do you change/clean your CAI filter?
I just changed mine and am going to clean the original one. I run a Brenspeed tune and it seems to be running smoother this morning since I changed it. I have been running the 91 octane tune and it's been ok. I couldn't even run the 89 tune as it seemed to struggle badly with normal daily soft acceleration. I reloaded the 89 tune after driving about 40 miles on the 91 tune and the 89 seems to be acceptable now. I must have had air restriction in that dirty filter (40,000 miles without cleaning). But, it didn't seem to bog down the stock tune. Anyway, how many miles do you folks let go by before cleaning or changing your cold air intake filter?

Thanks everybody. I've been neglecting mine for sure. I let it go way too long. I now have a second one for my cold air intake and am going to swap it out every 10,000 miles or so. If I notice sluggishness with any of my tunes, it will most likely be the finickyness of the tune not getting enough air.

I cleaned mine at about 22,000 miles and didn't feel any difference afterwards although it certainly was beginning to look dirty. I usually begin thinking about it after 15,000 miles but I don't get paniced until about 25,000 miles.

27,000 miles, I've did it twice so far.(FRPP CAI) An FRPP tech on the phone told me do it every 50k miles, and the dirtier it gets the better it works. And he told me not to bother oiling the filter. I've cleaned and oiled it with th Steeda kit,I believe it should be oiled, I'm just careful oiling it.

Yeah, the oiling thing scares me. If I oil it, I'll use very little and let it sit for a couple of weeks before I put it back on the car. That's why I bought a second filter for the CAI.
