subframes are def. the best thing to do for a stiffer ride... I might do them as well, but as of now I don't have any money, soooo I'm gonna have to wait til I start my new job next week... then get em with the money i have after bills lol.

 

well heres my 2 cents. subframe conectors are a deff do! but then again great mod for like 250 bucks...MMandFF (i think its that mag) has an article out about what the SFC acctually change that we feel, apparently its mostly just keeping the seats in one spot, anyway. if your car has more than 50k miles and is on stock shocks, youll notice a huge difference there. id say go tubular front end because i would t hink the difference there is night and day, but you kinda shot that idea down. Although i think you can do just control arms? and that might help alot, without spending to much. as far as under stear, thats what the loud pedal is for, push in the corner loud pedal down come out of the corner tires blazing sideways in the direction you seek! hehe, mind you i do not recomend doing this on public roads where there may be traffic, or for sure not without knowing how to control it, cuz *** backwards in a tree is fun for no one.

Shocks and struts along with the FLSFC's will be your best friend in this case. Changed my ride quite a bit with strange 10 ways and i didnt even do SFC's which i probably should since im a vert. If you are going to change rims to help your cause, going back to 17's will be taking a step backwards. If you want 9" wide wheels, just get the backs in 9 wide. You handle better with shorter sidewalls. So id just keep the 18's.

 

honestly coilovers arent really overkill for a street car. i got a tubular k member and a arms and coilovers and think its alot more comfortable then stock springs coilovers. The coilovers and shocks really made it handle alot nicer, take bumps nicer and really give the car some good feedback. i only did front coilovers btw. the subframe connectors are gonna be your biggest improvement

 

I just put on my D-Specs a few days ago and the Mach is my daily driver. Feels so much better. I have both the shocks and the struts 4 turns away from full stiffness and it just feels great.

 

my friend added SFC's and i noticed it was alot more stiff.

I plan on FULL tubular front suspension and coil overs before christmas..but mine will be set up from drag racing.

 

40% of 275mm's is the same whether its on a 17" wheel or an 18" wheel, and its more about the wheels being lighter and having far more and cheaper choices for tires.

 

Ill take a look into a coilover setup then, what company are you using?
