honestly i dont know what computer is in it, i would imagine it is the factory 86 speed density computer in it. i will have to look and check it out. for the fuel pressure im am running 42psi w/vacuum off, and the timing is 16 degrees when i know im not spraying it and about 12 degrees when i know i am spraying it! TPS right at .980! i set the idle right at 1000rpm and it idle's pretty good!

my blower works good sd too

your better off upgrading the heads and intake first you'll get more power that way a 347 is just gonna get you some torque and move the powerband down you'll only gain 10hp with stock heads from a 347

back in the day a 351 crate motor with e7te's was only 235hp.

but really lets think about it, stepping to a 347 your increasing stroke .4". your running a 4"bore still with the same pathetic heads, hp wise you'll just make the same numbers 400rpm sooner. you will gain torque because torque is in fact a function of stroke and cubic inches, hp however is not. hp is based on cfm not cubic inches. this is why i said get better heads and intake- cfm- airflow

so in theory it wont make 10more hp but i think it will but thats about it. change the top end components and its a whole different ball game but stock e7te's are door stops they dont flow very well

Just stole a used 302 block off a guy for dirt cheap that i'm planning a 347 build with, i already have a set of refurb'd e7te's... If i were to get the heads ported and the whole nine, would i be able to get them to flow good enough to get some good gains from the 347??

I'd be utterly embarrassed to say I had a 347 putting out well under 300 hp with that combo

i'm loving the e7 chirps haha

I guess just spend the cash and get better heads. Even though there going to run you probs the same price as the 347 kit ( a cheap one )

Can you run a 347 on the stock computer (1990) ? with what mass and injectors?

or do you need to chip in and run all sorts of tunage?
