Default Bill me later!

I can't post in Off-topic, and I didn't know where it'd belong besides there. So I figured I'd do it here.

I'm wondering if anyone has used this method on AM. The company is owned by ebay(Bill Me Later). I was reading over their website and from my understanding, its just a loan, they pay the company but your pay Bill Me Later. If I'm wrong, correct me, please but all you need to do is pay them what they paid the company, back within 90 days, or you pay fees?

So if you order something that is $400.00, you gotta pay $400.00 to Bill Me Later, within 90 days, and that's all?

Move this topic if is should belong somewhere else, thanks.

I've done that. If you would read what I said "I'm wondering if anyone has used this method on AM". Meaning, I want somebody's opinion on how smooth it went, any fee's that popped up,etc.

in my experience, stuff like that always has some sort of a catch. but hey, im not passing any judgment on AM, they seem to have a very good reputation in the community. I'm interested as well as to what other people have experienced with this "bill me later" feature

I used it to finish my motor built on my Eclipse last year.

If you pay back exactly how much you bought whatever for (say you buy FR500 rims and tires for $1100). If you pay back that $1100 before 90 days is up, you pay no fees and no interest. If you do not, then you pay interest on the entire $1100, regardless of how much you've paid on it, for the 90 days PLUS the months following the 90 days. Sooo, say the interest rate on the loan is 20%. If you don't pay off the $1100 before 90 days is up, you immediately owe another $220 plus the following month's interest rate and that will continue to increase until it's all paid off.

Hope that made sense. Like I said I used it because I was short on funds to finish my motor build and I had to get the car back on the road because it was also my d/d. I paid my stuff off before 90 days and did not have to pay any extra fees or interest. I believe it improves your credit score as well.

yea, that's pretty much what I thought. it's all well and good if you cover your bill within the 90 days..but once you go past that, you get hit with a ridiculous interest rate.. still not a bad deal tho if you can get your finances in order and pay it off early enough
