This is probably a stupid question and it might even be in the wrong section but before I spend the money I just want to make sure I know the difference between the two. And which one would you all recommend?

They are the same. If you want custom tunes right away get the X3 as it will prompt us to get tuning info from you and create the custom tunes before it ships. If you are just using the preloaded or going to get dyno tuned right away get the SF3 as the order will got straight to shipping immediately.
