why don't you stop slapping parts and run a KOER test and see if there any codes that refer to any system in the car malfunctioning

i appreciate you gentlemen's time in reading over and replying to my problem. what exactly is a KOER test? something I need particular tool/kit for?

sorry for ignorance. I enjoy learning and working on the car myself, it just is very perplexing sometimes for someone who has no knowledge of the tasks at hand

where exactly is the ignition coil on a 91 LX? is it the component that the middle plug wire from the distrubtor goes to, bolted along the driver side of engine bay, a foot or so behind the battery?

"stay away from MSD coils" this makes me ask why when i already know the answer. i had a very bad experience with an MSD distributer. im having almost the exact same problem and if it could be fixed with just a bad coil then ill start there insted of the TFI or BPS sensor.

i slapped on a BDW or BWD ignition coil (was only thing OReillys had in stock). the car dies less often it seems, only 2x in 24 hour period. is there any way to test injectors? the car still runs like a turd, esp when accelerating. all other fuel components are new. injectors are the only things I can think of to check.

any more ideas? new distributor/module, fuel pump, fuel regulator, ignition coil. cleaned/regapped plugs and o2 sensors.

i'd chip/tune it but i'm not sure it'll be a for-certain remedy, and 600 bucks on a maybe is shady
