Cluster Accessories Issue
When I try to start my 88 LX up, none of the cluster lights come on and I'm unable to crank the engine. I'm wondering if I've got a ground problem or if there is a another fuse hidden somewhere other than the panel on the driver's side.
I recently put a new front bumper, headlights, and front left fender apron on. Also ,the hazard lights and turn signals are not working but the headlights do work. It was running until I did the body work.
Thanks for any help you can give.

Welcome to the forum. I hope this helps. And since new if If explain too simple sorry. The cluster lights, fuel , oil etc. on the lower right of dash pod. It is only used on the GT from what I read. I have them on mine but mine is hodge pod of parts so that is explainable. Or are talking about the dash lights? Now on the start problem. Sounds like a ground wire off. Is the starter solinoid mounted must be to work. Start looking for any black wires not mounted to body. That is usually a ground wire. Hope this helps. If unsure on some wiring where they go. Mine is a same and I can look and see if would help. Maurice

To clarify my problem, when I try to start the car the instrument panel doesn't light up at all. The warning lights should flash for a second when the car starts but I'm getting nothing. That's what leading me to think it's some kind of electrical problem. I'm just hoping that somebody might have had this problem before and could give me some pointers to troubleshoot it.
Thanks Maurice for the ground issue idea. I'm going to check everything tomorrow. I'll let you know if it works.
