Unbent Fuel Line
Hey I am going to replace my fuel line. I can not seem to find an unbent fuel line online. I have gone to the usual supplier websites but they all sell prebent lines. Could I use 5/16(? think that is the size) brake lines and just keep connecting them? Is there a place where I can go to buy an unbent fuel line that I have not looked at?

Joining together half a dozen little pieces would not give you a very good line.
Any auto parts store should be able to sell you a coil of steel line.
Why, though? The pre-bent lines are so much easier. I have made samples for unusual applications for the manufacturers, and once is enough- after that I use the pre-bent line.

Oh really? I thought I read in a previous thread that you said prebent lines were a pain. If you say so I will definitely invest in a prebent line. The stores I looked at did not appear to supply a nonsway bar line. I did not see a sway bar in my rear but maybe I am missing it.
BTW 2+2 how far away are you from the Hershey/Hummelstown area?

If you're only replacing the existing line with an exact duplicate, you might as well use the pre-bent stuff.
If it was a custom re-work, you may well be best off bending up a length of plain tubing to specifically suit that application because there won't be anything that'll entirely be a direct-fit.
Situations like the following tend to end up being DIY/custom:
swapping in an engine that has much greater fuel flow requirements
swapping your tank out for a fuel cell
adding a sump to the OE tank and plumbing the fuel line to it
running an electric fuel pump and eliminating the block-mounted mechanical pump
swapping in an engine whose fuel pump mounts on the other side -
swapping the carb out for EFI

Okay well I guess It is good I already have my exhaust off.
I was looking at the Mustangbarn catalog. What is the difference between a 2pc 3/8 except with staggered shocks and the with staggered shocks?? From the pictures I looked up staggered looks like they are just on alternate sides of the rear dif. Is that all they are? Cause if that is all it is then mine does not have that. Also there are 2 other lines. 1 for sway 1 without. If I do not have sway or staggered do I need to tell them that when I order it?? *sigh* who would have known there could be so many different fuel lines ha

fuel line = brake line
but like others have said just buy the prebent stuff.
ive done the brake lines and they worked pretty good. only place i had an issue with them was around the master cylinder & distribution block

I have something else I need to order from Summit which is why I figured I would look there to. That line seems like it would be A LOT easier to install and is only like $15 more than the prebent one. + If I order my other part with the braided I will get about $15 discount with that coupon going around. What do you guys think?? Would that braided line even work??
