Hey Lynn,
I used about 2 gallons of POR-15 on our car. The reference above to it not looking natural in the engine bay is well... odd. Its actually the perfect place for it as its not affected by oil, brake or power steering fluid, etc. Brake fluid will eat and soften 99% of other paints but it simply wipes off the POR. Also.. don't thin it out if spraying! I sprayed the entire underchassis and engine bay with 3 coats of POR using an HVLP gun.. it doesn't need to be thinned out.

I'd say 1 gallon would do 2 coats for the underchassis, engine bay and interior floors if you didn't waste to much. I also did the inside of the fenders, the roof, trunk & rear quarters, etc. The exterior body panels are about the only areas without it.

I likely used about 4 gallons of epoxy primer on the car over the 3 months I spent sanding. Of course 90% of that was swept up off the floor.

I had to sand an area of the POR off the front rails for the ground strap. Using 40 grit sand paper I couldn't sand it off and had to grab the dremmel. That was several months later but gives you an example of just how hard the stuff gets when applied and prepped correctly.

Adrenolin.. How how much POR15 did you end up using total on your car? At $145 a gallon, it isn't exactly cheap.
