alternator clutch pulley
I bought an aftermarket alternator, and didnt realize that it didnt have the clutch pulley. Every time I shift gears, it squeals. NTO sells alternator clutch pulleys. Am I able to take off the standard pulley and install a clutch pulley, or do I have to buy a new alternator all together? thanks

If the shaft fits, it can be swapped with the old OEM clutch pulley.
If it is of a different size, its a no go without an adapter.
You bought or they sold you the wrong alternator.
Take it back and get the right one.
www.PAPerformance.com FTW.

Here is a link for a removal tool that is used on the clutch pulley.

They have a video showing how to use the tool. I will be buying one being I have to replace about 10 alt a year on my PD units due to the clutch pulley wearing out
. Dont worry that the kit shows it fits a VW, it also shows Ford on the list of alt. it will fit.
I also found a pulley for around $68.00
Hope this helps

Ya I also found a new one for about 69. They have the dimensions which could help you if you still arent sure.http://www.americanenginesco.com/ser...ANG-CAR/Detail
I would assume from the price difference that one is original and one is not. That happens a lot these days with all the Chinese junk going around. Good luck!
