Thumping or bumping sound from the front of the car...
Hey Guys,
Yesterday, while I was driving, I felt that something wasn't right with my car. I felt it first, and then I turned the radio off. The noise is coming from the front passenger side of the vehicle. Whenever there is some suspension travel, there is like a thumping or bumping sound. If I drive over a larger bump, it becomes louder. It is only audible from inside the car. Something is definitely not right. Any ideas? I am thinking it's a bad bushing or something, but perhaps it's common issue I am not aware of. Let me know. Thanks!

Did the front suspension remain the same for the 2013 cars, especially with the Brembo Brake package? I know the package adds the two sway bars or whatever and the suspension is sport tuned. I am not very mechanically inclined, and the car is obviously under warranty. I think it would need to be on a lift so the wheel can be manipulated with the car in the air. Thanks.

Something weird is that when I first start driving the car, it doesn't do it. I went to the gym this morning which is about 8 miles away. It was fine on the way there. However, it started back up on the drive home and it's been following that pattern. So maybe as the car gets warmer, something is becoming loose? I don't know. Sometimes it sounds like metal binding a bit against metal instead of sliding smoothly. Hope that helps. I am bringing the car in on Thursday. I just don't want to be home with a cannot duplicate message. Thanks.

Well, the dealer couldn't reproduce it. I don't understand how something like this can come and go. It happens every time I drive home from the gym. However, when I drove it to the dealer today, it wasn't doing it. Does anybody have an idea as to why this comes and goes like this? I didn't pay this much money to have a car making noises like this. Ugh...
Thanks.
Thanks.

I'd lift up the front end and give it a good visual inspection on the suspension/sway bar for signs of excessive wear or other issues with a flashlight.
If it made noise a thumping something is obviously hitting something else. If the sound stops I'd be worried whatever was thumping just finally broke.
