cobra still sputters
Well guys im at it again. cobra still sputters between 2k and 3k rpms when warmed up usually after 30min of driving.
changed parts-
spark plugs (coppers)
taylor wires
dizzy
alternator (old one bad)
coil
cleaned t/b and MAF
timing at 14* All this done within last 3 weeks.
Could my gas pump be going out? watch vid. when the rpms jump up and down my foot is steady on gas pedal. Also mostly happens on 2nd and 3rd gear.

Have you pulled any codes? Im assuming you have since I know you have been an active member here for quite some time and know we would tell you that first lol .
Just out of curiosity , does this happen at the same throttle position ? Im wondering if you have a bad spot on your TPS causing this. What does it do when you stand on it? .

That spout connector code could play a significant role in your trouble. I would get a timing light and check your timing with the spout plugged in , watch the mark as you increase throttle , if it starts jumping around all over the place you may have a short in the pcm or spout circuit someplace.

I did the test and as i gave it gas the mark on balancer did not jump around. was pretty steady. Spout was also connected. This sucks! Could it be a bad spark plug? Remember i added the whole bottle of seafoam to half a tank incident. well i never checked for foul plugs. But weird thing is that car runs perfect until it gets warmed up.
so code was 212- ground short in spout connector

opened up tfi.. looks good. Should my spark plug have oil at the middle like that? The top was dry but just thought it was weird.
