Default 5x7/6x8 ---> Component Adapter Plate?

Is there such thing as an adapter plate that will make a 6x8 opening accept a 5.25" speaker and tweeter or does it not fit? I can't find them anywhere... I'd like to do components, but don't want to have cut into any of my panels because I don't trust myself doing that. So if they don't make one that can hold 5.25 components, what about a 4" and tweeter component setup? Or am I wasting my time if I'm not going to mount the tweeter properly? Just trying to decide whether to do the components or just upgrade the 2-ways.

I want a universal plate that will hold a 5.25" and a tweeter. Like the plate on either one of those plate speakers, but a universal type that will accept whatever setup I go with.

I don't know of anyplace that makes them, but I am about to make a set for myself. I am going to mount some 5.25" componants in my ranger that also uses the same 6 x 8 speakers. I am going to use 1/2" MDF and I am also considering making an enclosure for the 5.25 as well. I could run a 2nd matching set off of my router if you are interested. I don't work for free but I am cheap and would ship them out of phoenix if we can agree on a price.

I will be making mine either tomorrow or sunday if you want a pair. It will not take me long to rip a 2nd set out once I have everything set up but once I pack it up I will not be making any more. I will be using a factory 5 x 7 to and making an exact copy with my router. The mounting holes will be pre-drilled and they will be ready to slap in once your speakers are mounted.

a set came with my alpine spr-13s(5.25 and tweeter). with my alpine spr-13c didn't come with any brakets so i bought come 5.25 to 6x8 adaptors and the mark on them of where to cut out if u want a tweeter. i'd assume most car audio shops would have them or the post above will help you out,

I didn't see the rest of the replies here early enough and decided to just go with 6x8 2-ways in the back and 6.5 2-ways in the front. Thanks for the offer ttocs.
