Base 2012 GT looking for more bass.
Hey all, After having my 2012 for a few months now, I've really noticed the lack of bass my stereo has. I had an 06' Stang prior this with 2 10" Kickers and it had a really nice feeling to it. I was curious to see those with 11-14 Models have added bass-wise (Subs, boxes, amps) looking to get some ideas.
Thanks in advance
EDIT: My mistake, it DOES have a Shaker, 500 I'm guesing.

I had a 2006 from the dealer when they had my truck for the millionth time and its stereo was bad a$$, this one with the bass allll they way up not so great? Kinda sad about that too. Still considering what to do with it, cause it just is not loud enough.

I hear ya, I was seriously underwhelmed when I went to crank some tunes and hearing what was coming out of my speakers even with the bass turned all the way up.

I think the shaker 500 has decent bass, but if you're coming from a car with two 10s, I can see how it wouldn't measure up. I'd say a good single 12" in the trunk (passenger side) with around 2-300 watts would shore up the bottom end nicely.

You're right, it's not terrible it's just not what I'm used to. I was thinking of going with what you said, a single 12 passenger side. Did you mean 2- 300w amps? I'm not an expert when it comes to audio stuff, any help is greatly appreciated

No, I meant a single sub powered by 200 to 300 watts.
