yeah ...so i bought a bullit...but i dont think its the bullit in general is the ****ing pos tr-3650 all ****ing 5 of my synchros went bad at once...car has 35,000 miles and it just all out. my warranty ended bout 2 mnths go. my question is does anyone know if the newer model transmissions like in the 04-06's fit for the 2001 set up? or does anyone know a good rebuilt site. im seeing 1800$ for a rebuilt that is redicolous.

get a tko500 or something different, 05+ mustangs use the same tranny, sounds like you just got a lemon. I have 64kmiles on my car and its still going good. I wonder if your fluid was low, or something, I don't think all 5 gears would go out just like that.

yep, only think different is the s197's use a linkage to shift, previous models shifters are connected directly to the tranny.

I got 77902 miles, my synchros from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd are getting bad, they grind a bit when i shift(most noticible in cold weather). Doesnt do it all the time, but its still frustrating to feel when I shift. Car did it when I bought it at 48800 miles. Im not getting it fixed till its completely shot. I did some research on the problem, I guess a lot of the Tremec 3650s had this problem(maybe with just the bullitt? Im not sure). When i was at the dealership they told me there was no recall but a tech service bulletin was put out on it because there were a lot of complaints. Oh well what ya gonna do? Im living with it for now.

Go talk to your local ford dealership, your only 2 months out. Most of the time they will goodwill it, or will pay half or more! They have done it plenty of times at the ford dealership work at. And for all 5 of your synchros to go out is crazy? Were you powershifting 24/7??

Mine was out by a couple months, and Ford paid half. The rebuild was not better than the original, they tried again, still not better. To shut me up they installed a brand new tranny for $500.00. It is still no better than the original...just has less miles on it.
