While a fairly stout engine, that would be a horrible choice for that car. A 90 degree v6 is inherently unbalanced. The engine bay on those cars is long enough to support a i6, so a supra or bmw engine would be a better candidate. Or find a Datsun i6 to keep it original. But if you were stuck on a cheap American engine get a ls1, same amount of work as the 4.3 to make it fit and it is balanced. Anyway anything over 300 hp in those cars will start tearing the driveline up and you'll have to stiffen the unibody.

So basically what Chris said, very hard.

No I don't want a Chevy engine. I was planning to rebuild the 3.8 with 4.2 internals

I need a different lighting solution for the shop. I hate fluorescents and the one on the right the ballast is bad.

Those are cabinet doors and they are next on the list. They are getting sanding and refinished so they wont get put away for awhile.
