So I got to ride in my friends 1969 mach 1 with a 351 today, man that is a blast. I smell like gas now but it is completely different and made my day. One day I'll get him up to Lenoir.

I guess I am going to be working on a 49 year old lady named Lola................I am the proud owner of a 65 coupe. As some/most of you know I have been looking for a classic for quite a while. Thanks to all who helped me in my search. I found the car I wanted but couldn't agree on price. I kept looking, it kept sitting and we finally got together.
Lola was born in San Jose on March 9, 1965 and was a lease car. She was leased to Transamerica Car Leasing on March 19. She is Rangoon Red, black interior and has a white vinyl top. I think the color combo will complement the Shelby nicely. Lola is a "A" code, factory 4 bbl. She has factory air, power steering, power brakes and a working original AM radio (rare).
She will need quite a bit of work but she has good bones. Her sheetmetal is original, floor pans, quarters and cowl are in great shape. She has 50,000 original miles. She will get interior, top, paint and some work in the engine bay. The engine has been painted Ford blue, it needs to be black with gold valve covers and gold air cleaner.
I will eventually start a build thread on her but wanted to introduce her to you. Drove her home from the Waxhaw area (Wesley Chapel) tonight.
