I didn't think it would be necessary to check the block? I though if anything would be warped it would be the head.

I don't want to go crazy since the bottom end still have 165K on it.

There's a rebuilt 4.0 on CL for $400 but you're rolling the dice buying something that someone claims to have rebuilt.

* if I had JJ's money I would just buy a 5.0 Coyote motor and put it in the Jeep with an Atlas Transfer case, some G2 Axles with 4.56's and call it done. LOL.
That sucks Jeff..........But yes, get a Coyote motor and drop it in....

Sometimes I just don't get Barrett Jackson. Saw a car that claimed receipts of $160k go for $80k. And I think that's pretty normal for cars on there. Even the high demand cars, that seem to bring a lot of money, are probably just barely making a profit. I used to dream about a project car that would wow people, but why not just go to BJ and buy one for $40,000? You see cars sell there for less than what the paint job cost.

It happens on Mecum as well, I wonder if some of these guys even include their labor. I would love to go to BJ or Mecum some time. Mecum has some cars an average guy could buy.
