Off-Topic, But Still Important...

I emailed the Patriot Guard and spoke with Keith Arbuckle. He is going to contact the Ride Captain in Charge and it looks like we'll (being whomever is interested in coming out) will fall in with the Patriot's Guard in their escort, regardless of whether there is any protest. They go from the airport arrival through the service, and just adjust their activities if their is any protest.
This contact has ensured me that I want to take part in this. As the NCPG has mentioned, they aren't going solely to block the potential protest, they are there to say goodbye to a soldier.
So, I'm going to keep everyone updated, but the NCPG has reached out to the family to see if they'd like us to attend and if that goes through then our crew (or myself) will be a part of their escort. I've spoken to a few who were closer to Mason than I and they are all in support of our presence, but I'll wait on a formal invitation from the family before we move forward.
Again, I don't want anyone to feel any pressure to come from me, but if you would like to support this cause, feel free to join me. I'll be finalizing my plans with my professors and whatnot as soon as we get the invitation.
