Default Mustangs Northwest Pony Trails

dont think anyone on the classics here is from my area (and if you are....let me know!) but....

July 17th we had the Mustangs Northwest Pony Trails. "Yakima River Stampede" from Bellevue Community College to Sarg Hubbard Park in Yakima, Washington. Needless to say....it was amazing. We went I-90 to Ellensburg then jumped down to a road that goes though the Yakima River Canyon. Amazing road to take these cars on. My parents took my camera yesterday so i was stuck with my cell camera (ANGER!). Started with about 120+ stangs and ended up at the end with around 200+

Ya....we kinda made a backup getting on the freeway

we stopped at a rest stop......cue mini car show

entering the canyon...my phone spazed out during the canyon drive so i didnt get many pics (ARGH!)

this is basically what the canyon looks like

came out of the canyon and got a police escort from the canyon to yakima (~10 miles)

picture time

insurance anyone?

sunday is the main/big show. ill throw more pictures up for that too. excited!

Swweeett...

The northwest has such a great active mustang environment. I'd love to see that

Oh man I am so freakin jealous. That looks like tons of fun. I am looking at my car and tearing my heart out because I'm not able to take it to the Mustang Roundup or any other club events.

Hopefully mid-next week I will have the head back and can get it running again :\

How come nobody has their hood open during the gathering in the last few pictures?

But yes, I live in the same city as you

Probably because the motors are all patinad like HGC.
That looks like a nice run. I am just south of you and looking forward to getting on the road and hooking up with some of those events. I dont know how well I would handle the traffic jambs you all made.

@Canary

where exactly are you at? I'm basically in the Bothell area. next to inglemoor HS if you know where that is

people had their hoods up from time to time.....just to cool off. 2 or 3 of the older stangs took dumps on the parking lot waiting to come into the park....90 degrees and old 2 core rads = no good. for the main pic tho they wanted everyones hood down

Sweet man, I'm in Bothell too, but near Juanita where Safeway and Blockbuster are.

My stang's cylinder head is being rebuilt in Kenmore, so I drive by Inglemoor sometimes lately to get there.

About the only thing I can do with it now is make the engine bay clean and shiny. So that's what I've been working on for the past month.

So what's going on with the club today?

No, I mean I've heard of Bel-Kirk Mustang but never thought anything of it. That looks like a really cool place judging by a quick read of their About Us on their website. They do service and have tons of parts? What else have you dealt with them for?

anything u need they will do or at least know someone that can do it. body and electrical stuff they send out to a nearby place. ron is the owner, jon is the main tech guy, and matt does reception. they are all really cool guys and will chew the fat with you about your car for hours on end.

as far as work ive done with them...i had them rebuild my engine years ago and as of late they have just done some minor tune up work cuz ive been to busy or just didnt wanna deal with it. their prices use to be really high but lately they are pretty good about prices. i had jon just do a tune and inspection for the pony trails just to make sure she was good to go. ran me about $200.

I think I'm more interested in restoration parts than service at this point. But that might not be the same if I planned to take a long trip.

Do they have good prices and a good selection of parts like they say?
