He paid $14k, and that includes the shipping from arizona to california that the owners did. We thought it was a deal we had to jump on because we've seen other R-code cars with no engine and trashed interior/exterior sell for that price or more. This car is complete, runs, 4 speed close ratio, and only has very minor rust problems.

What does everyone think of the price my dad paid?

Lawman, yeah we do have a few pony's in the coral at the moment, but sadly the 71 mach has to go to pay for the cobra jet. Here's a pic I took today after I washed the 71 to put it up for sale... we had to boot my mom's car out of the driveway

I hate you, David. $14k for an R code car...ridiculous.

BTW, if you guys really want a fold-down seat with all the hardware, let me know. One of my friends has a '69 Mach I (same guy I got my Mach I seats from) and he doesn't need the fold-down seat. He's going to remove it in favor of a roll cage. As far as I know, it's in good condition. He's also trying to get a 'save the Mustang' fund going, so I'm sure he'd sell it to you

don't hate me Tad, or else I won't bring my car up to slo. actually, I can't do that to myself haha

well yes my dad would definitely like that fold down rear seat if its the right price (i'm not sure what he's willing to pay). He also would like all the different rear side panels that are for the fold down if he has them. Hopefully he'll be willing to sell it to us, tell him it will go to reviving a R-code when I go back up in september we can get them from him if he wants to sell them. Let me know!

Carlos, yeah the original rims are pretty cool, in great shape. The people we got it from were even kind enough to put some new tires on there for us

I thought this thread would have gotten more attention, but I guess not many see the general discussion section? bah well

I agree. Dog dishes would be cheaper and still look good. It would look alot like the car in the original Gone in 60 then.
