Default 6x9 Speaker Covers

Has anyone seen these before?

I'm installing a blue/white Pony interior in my 65 coupe, and I think those covers would look great with the interior. What do you guys think?

to me it looks like that cover will muffle the speaker, not enough holes in it

It looks nice though

That's what i was thinking the same thing, but I've thought of mods to fix that. I'd cut out all the drilled out areas, leaving only the bars and note. Then, I'd get some stainless mesh, and cover that with thin cloth. Then, sandwich the mesh between the modded grilles, and speaker. I'm gonna get them.

that could look very nice and will work. How much are they? if they aren't too expensive then its definitely worth a try!

They're about $25 for the pair with shipping.

They're are chrome die-cast. Similar to the stuff the My 65's vent window frames are made of. Apparently, they're vintage pieces from the 60's. I when ahead and bought them(from ebay), but then I just saw a set of black powder coated repro ones, with more holes drilled in it. I think these look better.
