I would have a heck of a time collapsing a metal glovebox to get it to pass through the opening... :-)

Nice job.

Coupe from my "very" recent experiance learning these cars if the heater case is out you can easily do it from the back side..

Honestly I put it in with the heater core in there... The trick is to make it 3 pieces and build it in the compartment and then bolt it into place. The side pieces bolt in and the rest is a solid piece (Top Bottom and back) I also cut the depth of it, if you wanted you still have enough room to mount a stereo using the rear wall of the box and would still have adequate room for registration and insurance... and a fifty pound weight ;0)

I was a fun build, it is actually the first thing I have really built using metal and the best part is itwill come in and out if you need it to and will last! I should make templates hahaha

Its not that hard to bend it to fit just one the cardboard liner as a template.

Ok so its multiple pieces--nice. Did you use a sheetmetal brake or hand form it?

Yeah it is made of sheet metal I madeva pattern using the cardboard one and used a hand brake to bend the curves... It's like 8 major bends and about 6 tabs... I used a cutting wheel in hard spots and a band saw for the rest... And it was actually really simple to build in the dash...

You should do like Mustang Steve does and start making and selling your unique Mustang parts. I would really consider buying one.

All you need is a little opening on the side for the light.
