Default 66' coupe. Help locating part

So I have been all thru the mustangs unlimited catalog and I cannot locate the part I am looking for.

Its the rail that screws to the underside of the roof and holds the weatherstrip for the window to seal against with its rolled up. I can find the seal but not the metal rail/screws (uses an odd flat headed Philips)

Thanks for any help so I can stop pulling my hair out, lol.

I'm fairly certain that these are not available in reproduction form, and that used is all there is. Most of the classic parts shops have used parts too. Ask a few of them and see what they have.

Hey Crash,

I did some searching on some mustang retailers and I'll be darned that I can't find it. Not sure how it is classified, but I know the part is reproduced (the fastback part is not). However, I would look for a parting out mustang in your area and get some original parts. You could probably pick up for $20 and it would be superior to the reproduction part. If you can't find, I know a mustang place down here that will have it for sure, but by the time you have shipping and such, you will probably be up to $50-$60.

So I wasn't going crazy then--wooo. Well the ones that came off my dads car are not that bad so I will have to rework them a tad. Thanks for looking guys but I would like to find new screws so I will keep digging for a replacement on those.

You sure that is the part you're looking for, looks like a drip rail molding to me.

That is the drip rail molding. I don't think you will find the weather strip channel reproduced.
