Default On the road after 15 years. *pics*

I bought the car back in aug not running or driving for 15 years. The first thing I did was put a new fuel tank, blew out the fuel line, changed the fuel filter, and put some fresh gas in it. Put a new battery in it and after it got fuel to the carb it fired right up. I then went through the brakes and drove it up and down my driveway (1/8 mile long) a few times. After that I pulled the engine out and cleaned it up and paint it and the engine compartment. While I had it out I put a new timing chain, oil pump, main bearings, rod bearing, rear main seal, and oil pan. Before I put it back in my wife decided she wanted a divorce and so it set until a couple weeks ago before I felt like getting back out in the garage. I put the engine back in and got it running, last week I had new exhaust put on and put new tires on it also.

This is what it looked like when I pulled the engine.

My plans for the car are to paint it white and put 18s and 17s boss 338 wheels on it and lower it. Hopes for it to look something like this.

looks great, its always a plus when your kids enjoy the car as much as you do.
sorry to hear about the unfortunate life changes.

Nice to see another one running again. I like the valve covers. Early Mustangs look great in Wimbeldon white.

Your ride quality will be on par with a garbage truck running those size wheels. The suspension on 65/66 Mustangs was engineered around tires with a large sidewall (14"/15") to absorb shock, bumps, etc. You don't have to believe me I'm just letting you know so expectations are set. in fact I'm not a fan of coupes so I'd like to see one abused with large wheels

I'm digging the Mickey Thompson valve covers. Don't often see those anymore.
