Default steering wheel vibration

has anyone had this problem-i have a 66 mustang with a rebuilt 302 engine with an automatic trans-i have new tires and rims-all have been balanced-front end has been realigned-all components have been inspected such as tie rods-control arms etc-ok-car has been dino tested-ok-here the issue-when i get to 60 mph, there is a vibration coming thru the steering column thru the steering wheel-steering wheel does not shimming-shake or whobble but just holding the steering wheel i can feel this slight vibration-any ideas from anyone what is causing this below 60 mph nothing-thanks

Your u joints could be worn out. That would explain a steady pulsation at higher speeds.

To insure it is not engine, hold it in second and take the car up to high engine speed. If it is not engine related it could be something as simple as a lose grill, or a vibration in the fender from being lose at the trailing end near the door, or the rear fender behind the wheel. At 60 you can get hood lift or even a rear brake line vibrating. If the wheel doesn't shimmy, I would look for body parts vibrating.

If you aren't running a staggered setup, switch the fronts and backs and see if it goes away. Could be a defective tire.

update-new tires installed and u joints were inspected and are ok-repair shop is indicating the that the rebuilt 302 engine was not balanced correctly and will check the engine balance after they remove the engine after a big cost to me-there are no loose parts-i am guessing that if the engine was out of balance-the slight vibration would occur at all speeds not just after achieving 60 miles per hour
