what year is this mustang? {pic}
Id like to buy that mustang....any idea what year and model it is...
im pretty sure its 70-73 but id like to know the year
the hood is throwing me off cause its plain, no scoop or vents....95% of cars i see online of those years dont have a plain hood

It is a 1971, but not a mach 1. It is what was called a sports roof, 70's lingo for a cupe. Don't confuse it with the Grandé model that looked the same but came with a full vinyl top and special emblems on the rear-roof pillars. This car will be the lowest performing mustang with a 250ci six banger or if your lucky, the low performance 302.
The ram air hoods were for the 351ci engined mach 1 and boss 302.
Dont spend alot on this one, but it will be a fun car to drive.

cool finally someone who knows what they are talking about.
i think this one doesnt even have a motor in it...
we are planning a full restore...we are planning alot of time in this car
we would put a bigger motor in there.
do you think its a bad idea? i think the car looks great, i love the body shape
i know this is always hard to say but how much should i be paying for this? with and without motor?
the body seems in ok shape...a little rust.
i would love to get anyones responce and ideas.

i had actually found that site....
i only found 1 mustang that didnt have the scoops in the good....with the vertical lights
and it looks different....
plus that doesnt even tell me what style or year it is.
mine has silver trim in the front...this one has painted trim
the lights are also dif..mine are chrome around and his are not
i really cant seem to find any pictures on the net that look like this car i want

im confused..
i found that 80% of the 71 mustang coupe pictures i find have an different style grill....no lights in it.
then i find a few that have the same grill....
can they have different grills in the same year? or have ppl changed them?
