baddog671 what gauge diamond plating are you using? I think that will look good with a all black trunk. I wouldnt use it for the floor because it will get all scratched up.

Fastlane - I like that trunk idea, have you had any problems with moisture back their?

Baddog - Have you thought about using splatter paint? If not I'd definitely go black, whether carpeting or not I also think its a good idea to box off the trunk, even if using steel and welding it up.

fastlane65- i saw a relay in the d/s of your trunk on the wheel well. i was curious what that was for.

Relay is for fuel pump. Battery and solenoid are also in trunk. The trunk is sealed well so I have had no moisture problems, and yes, unlike some other people, I do drive it in the rain occasionally!

I suppose everyone has their preferences, but I like my original trunk color and mat.

Im not sure the guage...i believe it is 1/8 inch thick aluminum chrome diamond plate backed with 16 guage steel and rivited together

I also have a battery relocation kit and the box is polished aluminum so I think that would look awesome one the black too. Im pretty sure I would like it the black like the tank.

Now that I see what the mats look like, I think I'd rather get a different form of carpet in there...prolly like the one posted above.

Local shops can do it nice but they charge alot.

fastlane65- i saw that you had styrofoam behind your panels. is that for sound deadening or what? wont it get messy?

Foam was for sound deadening. Took it out because of the mess. Used Dynamat on my metal trunk divider - works a lot better.
