Default Best Synthetic Oil to use?

Hello,

I have been hearing a lot about using the Synthetic Oil in the Classic's, and I was just wondering.......

......Is the a preferred band of Synthetic to be used, or does it not matter much?

Thanks,

Tony

If the engine is original and hasn't been rebuilt since 1981, I wouldn't use synthetic. In the older engines(pre-1981), the seals were made of different material and synthetics will usually leak through(in most cases). If it's new or rebuilt, then any brand of synthetic is good. Just remember, it has to be changed every 3K-5K just like conventional oils.
