Is this engine from a 1977 Ford Bronco?
Wondering if I've read this right looking at the various FAQs on the engine coding. Here's a picture of the block with the letters stamped on it. D7B3-6015-CA. I think that's a C. Anyway, what do y'all think?
Furthermore, please check out these photos. Am I screwed? Is there just WAY too much rust underneath this thing? Am I looking at several thousands of dollars to get the underside of this thing redone? The engine (be it a Bronco engine or a 77 Mustang engine) runs great. The steering pulls to the left but I think all the parts are in good shape. The brakes work fine although they're all drums. Steering works great. Mechanically, it's pretty sound except for the underside rust.
Any advice is much appreciated...

It does look like you have alot of work to do, I hope you know how to weld if not you may want to take a course. It looks like some one bondoed over rust to make it look good to sell. I think thats what all the cracking paint is. here is a couple of good links for the sheet metal.

Well, it's a 1977 engine, but not sure from which source. If it were a Mustang, it would have a letter Z following the date. But, a 200 CID is a 200 CID is a 200 CID, so no big deal.
