wow, i dont have one at all. I have looked. I can look up and look straight at my engine mounts. There are no cross member anywhere. I have the radiator one, and it looks like it has been welded. I know this car has been in a front end wreck, but i dont see the cross member having to be removed. Maybe is is why my front end alignment gets messed up so easily.

You're right,
all '66 Mustangs came from the factory with a bolt on crossmember, and all classic car owners are at least a little crazy... in a good way.

You want to pick up that cross member and the correct tapered shank bolts, as soon as you are able. You'll feel a difference once you install it.

Glen has alot of pics of his, maybe he'll post one up of where it should be on a 66. Mine is directly behind the motor mounts not an inch away if I remember correctly.

That'd probably help a ton too with handling if your missing it ...

well damn. I always wondered about that. You guys think the would keep the alignment out of wack? as in the cars front end moving around. I need some pics, and where to buy them at. I looked in my mustangs unlimited book, and didn't see any. Thanks guys. I owe you.

nevermind, I found it in mustangs unlimited. It's the front subframe crossmember, for $55, and the bolts for $10. I need to get under and look at where it's supposed to mount.

yep, i Definately dont have one of those. damn. Ive always known what they are. My 67 ford truck has one, my impala does, and both of those are 6 times the size of that mustangs. I dont remember seeing one on my dads 67 either, but i never have really looked. I guess that moves up on my list of stuff to do.[:@]

U could get a used one off ebay for much cheaper and clean it up. Id never pay that much for bolts either when you can get them at a hardware store...
