Tag says 302. And isn't he the guy that just put a 302 (289 with 302 crank/rods) in the engine bay?

RE: Found Engine Tag
Nope, was not me.. I have a 289 with a 289 crank.. My block is a 1968 302 block which was the original 289 block from the factory in 1968. Late in production Ford used a special run of 302 block specifally used on 289's cause they ran out of 289 blocks. They still had a call for the 289's to finish out production that year.
So, what I have is a true blue 289 from 1968 as supplied by ford. The only difference between a 289 block and a 302 block is the longer skirts to allow for the slightly longer stroke of the 302.
