Default Electric fans

I was looking at putting an electric fan in my car from a taurus. Does anyone know about this swap? The fan looks too big for my 65 2 row radiator. Has anyone done this to a 65 mustang?

I like the fans from mid 80s GM cars, they have a better connector for wiring it into an older cars electrical system. If you can get it to sit flush with the radiator, not put any holes in it, and cover most of the surface area, it should work. I recomend a thermostatic switch to turn it on and off, that way the relay is there and you dont have to have a hot wire running through the firewall.

If you have a stereo in the car with an amp and a few speakers, it would be a good idea to up the alternator. A stock fan doesnt draw that much amperage. So you would be okay if you wire it up right and have a stock radio or no amps.

I run an electric fan on mine. Got the generic Summit fan (14" I think) and used the Painless wiring kit with the relay and temp controlled switch. Works great!
