Default 1967 S Style Hood w/Louvers

hey guys,

got a couple questions about this hood. first of all, what do you think about it, i am going to be putting it on my 1968 stang. before i even started shopping around for a hood i knew i wanted a hood with fins and a scoop that fed air directly to the air filter, and that would also look good with a racing stripe paint scheme, low and behold, here it is http://www.mustangdepot.com/OnLineCa...sgt500hood.htm

ok here are my questions about the hood:

1. the descripition of the hood by the manufactorer is 1967 S Style Hood w/Louvers. hmm 1967, does that mean it WOULD NOT fit on my 68'

2. the manufactorer also says: Requires Long Nose or E Kit nose what does that mean?

i guess thats all for now. any help, comments, ideas, scolding would be appreciated, please, if you have an oppinion about this hood please share it with me, thanks!

Sean,

I see you live in Pomona. Check with Rebel Mustang (steve). They are in LaHabra and have fiberglass hoods for half that price. I just bougt a cowl hool w/louvers for $275.

If you ever get over to the NHRA museum at the fairplex say hello to my Mom (Julie). She works there almost everyday. I grew up in Rowland Heights.

Rebel Mustang sells a 67 shelby style hood in the short version to fit your mustang. 67 and 68 hoods will fit the same.

a shelby hood does not have fins and does not have a scoop.... i like the hood in the original post. if rebel mustang could get that hood i would buy it from them for sure.

you're wrong sean. 68 shelbys had the hood with louvers etc. 65-66 had the plain jane scoop, 67 had...dunno bout 67
