Nope -- I know the Torino, 'Cuda and Cougar -- definitely not one of them. I need to check out my classic car books and try to track this down.
If I had to guess I'd say Galaxie. The odds of me seeing it again and having a camera on me are pretty slim.
I'm going to change machines and post pics in a few to show what it's not

Here are some local cars
It's not a Cougar as it's not this style (this guy has another just like it in his yard, too)
It's not a Torino (I love the headlights on this car)
It's not a GTX but the body style is somewhat similar
This is the closest look to it, but it was a 2-door and was definitely a few years older by body style

I think you're right -- Wiki shows a 1967 model and that's about as close as you can come to what I saw. Thank you!

I saw it on the road today. First glance I thought it was a bull. Second glance I thought it was a bison. No identifying name on it. I was next to it, then right behind it. Appeared to be the body style of a moose or so.
The style was more cape buffalo than ox (slouching hunchback).
