66 Coupe Resto Mod

66 Coupe Resto Mod
Well, I started going gung ho (spending mucho $$$$), about three weeks ago. I have a 66 coupe with a 351W. I've had it for just over 7 years and its been a great car, but always on the back burner. I finally decided it was time it got some preferential treatment.
To date, we have pulled the motor and trans out and checked the motor for compression. My brother is helping me and he has been doing the technical stuff. I do the grunt work, and spend the money. Everything has been getting cleaned and painted as we go.
At this point the motor and trans are back in the car. Gone is the old 2 barrel Autollite carb and stock manifold. In its place is an Edelbrock Performer Carb and intake. I added Hedman Hedders, though my previous disc brake booster and master cylinder set up will need some massaging to make everything fit. The underside of the car has been cleaned up and undercoated. The rear end was pulled out, detailed, drained, refilled, and put back in, along with new rear leafs, shocks and anti sway bar.
The front end was previously rebuilt about 2000 miles ago. So no worries there. New springs and shocks were added however.
Here are a couple of pics of progress... I will post more as noticeable progress is made.
