Default Bob's Big Boy - Burbank CA

On Friday evening's in Burback CA hundreds of classic cars gather from all over. There are always Mustangs, some quite rare. Just curious as to how many of you ive in LA and if you've ever been to this fun event (couple Mustangs with a double cheeseburger and I'm in heaven!). If you don't live out here do you have place like this where you live?

I've been there once. It is pretty awesome to see all the different cars around. You get plenty ideas and great advice from some of the old timers. I sue to like going to Fudruckers in the Pasadena area, much closer to where I live. But since that one has closed down, I am getting the itch to go back to Burbank.

I went up to Jefferson (wisconsin) this past year for what i was told was a huge swap meet with lots of mustang stuff. It was cold, it rained, and i walked away empty handed.... BOOOO .... 2 hours each way...

I remember when I was a kid the Big Boys in Virginia were real drive-ins and the waitresses were hot chicks on roller skates who hooked up a tray to your car window. I guess there aren't any Big Boys like that any more. Sonic is so disappointing.

I sure did like the Varsity in Atlanta when I visited two years ago. Onion rings and a Frosty Orange. Mmmmm.

Around here there are a couple of drive-ins where some of the classic car guys hang out. Gene's Drive-in is on its second set of owners now. The new people have only had it for about 23 years. It opened in the 50's, and my mom told me stories about my grandfather taking herand her brother there as kids when they came to town for supplies-but only if they were good of course. For several years now, they've painted a new car on the walls at Gene's each year. Between that and the photos in the windows, there are always some nice cars to look at if you go there.

didn't know that. I live in El Monte but my 66 is still in the stages (probably another 4-5 months since I am doing it all myself and am just beginning the "put back together" process). I could take my '05 STI but rice at the burger stand[sm=lildevil.gif]
