Default 66 pony trim kick panels

Hi all,
I have just installed new carpet in my coupe and will be recovering my seats with new upholstery today. The kick panels are pretty sad and need replacing.I see that the pony reproduction panels come in three parts. The plastic panel, the carpet and the stainless steel trim.Glueing the carpet to the plastic is easy enough but does anyone know how easy the stainless trim is to fit ? Does it just clip on ?
Also which company sells the best quality kick panels ?
I'll try and post a photo when I'm all done.
Thanks Ron

WTF are you talking about? The kick panels are one piece.

I realise the kickpanel is one piece Glen but the pony kick panel has carpet glued to the bottom half with a stainless trim on top of the carpet. Can I reuse the old stainless steel trim after I have glued the carpet to the bottom ?

Hell, I don't know. I have never done that. Do it and then write up an article and I will make sure it gets published.

I just looked at mine. I don't know if they're repops or not but the stainless trim piece has several tangs that go through holes in the kick panel. The tangs then are bent over to secure the stainless piece.

+1 Just mark and drill the hole for the trim and bend the tangs over. Even if you don't get the holes quite right it will never show.

Thanks for the help guys.
Sounds easy !
I guess most repros would be of similar quality.
Cheers Ron
