I to admit to being a little biased,but I think the 69 Sportsroof was and still is the best looking Mustang body style of all time.
Don't get me wrong,there are other Mustangs that I like,but you did ask for the best!

Yeah, the 65-73 are considered the first generation. I like them all, and would have a barn full of them if I had the dough. The original pony cars have their place in the history of the Mustang as well as the muscle cars. So, I am not biased, but love my old pony for what it is.

I have too much respect for the classic to go adapting it to my tastes but I like the front of the 65-66 and the rear of the 67-68/9, particularly nice when looking at the fastback.
