upgrades needed for Supercharging
in the next few months i am planning on bolting on a paxton supercharger. i am trying to get an idea of everything i need to do before i buy the system. i know that i need upgrades to my fuel system, and also that the kit requires either a 4150 holley carb or monster Demon carb. is there anything else that i should anticipate needing for this project: also is there any certain cam that would be ideal for the project.

Howdy. These folks really know their stuff. I can't remember the guy's name, but he was very knowledgeable with the details. Check out the site, and give them a call, California Pacific time. The unit will work fine with up to 9.5 : 1 aluminum heads, and a bit higher with cast iron. The carb needs rebuilt with "explosion-proof" floats, or they could collapse, but very little else. +1 on knowing your exact compression ratio.

Numero Uno Importante upgrade...
Your Visa limit
Cooling system, fuel system, drivetrain, traction control, etc. all need to be factored in. Otherwise you get an overpowered roller skate that may or may not self destruct.
Kind of gives a new meaning to "Gone in 60 Seconds"

Also, I think the Paxton you are thinking about, has the capability to add 100 horses...keep in mind engine-build, etc... I have one on my '66. Heavy-duty motor mounts, and stiff front coils help a lot. This item makes a vintage Mustang scream. +1 on the two above...good brakes, and I suggest an Amex card...no limit...
