how to remove '66 steering wheel

Default how to remove '66 steering wheel

I am trying to replace the turn signal auto on/off switch....but I cant even get the steering wheel off...I got the larg 15/16 " bolt off .....now what? please help...

You really need a steering wheel puller. Auto Zone usually has a tool loan program and you can use thiers for free.

Put the nut back on the bolt just for a few threads, then get a piece of lumber and whack the hell out of that nut with the lumber between the nut and hammer. If that doesn't do it, then grab the wheel on two sides and shake it and pull at the same time. Now, that's the cheap way, but most likely won't work. If it doesn't, then go get a steering wheel puller.
