Default 289 getting a T5, what flywheel?

My engine is at the machine shop, and they need the clutch, flywheel, and harmonic balancer in order to balance it. So, what flywheel and balancer do I need? How do I figure it out? The engine is a 289 (the block is a 1965), and it will be getting a T5, most likely out of a fox body. How do I figure out what I ned?

Go HERE for info on the swap. Do you plan on converting to a cable clutch or staying with the mechanical bell crank? Either way, you'll need a harmonic balancer and flywheel with a 28 oz. imbalance. I'd opt for the 10.5" 157 tooth flywheel and a 10.5" clutch, with a diaphragm plate for a cable or a long plate for the stock mechanical linkage. Try Summit Racing. Their website is pretty good at walking you through what you need based on what year, make, model and engine you have.

Good luck!
